I just need some good books to get for this upcoming summer.
I like fantasy, and have been known to read thrillers. I'm not a fan of sci-fi, or adult romance novels, though. Could anyone name some good ones for me? |

If you haven't already, read the Bartimaeus Trilogy. After that, I can't really help you as I don't tend to favour anymore fantasy books after that. Those were the last books I read before I started reading horror and normal fiction. Though, if you're interested, I would suggest a numerous amount of Stephen King classics, or Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. It's a classic. It may start off very confusing, because Heller mentions events as though the reader has already read them, but once you're done you'll understand EVERYTHING. Trust me.

There is an author called Brooke Stevens who has written 2 wacky, kinda spooky fantasy novels - Tattoo Girl, and The Circus of the Earth and the Air. I don't like fantasy much, but I really got into these.
Better known, and in the same vein, is Murakami. I've only read 2 of his books: Wind-up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore, and while Kafka moved a bit to slow for my taste, Wind-Up Bird was great. |

I love Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella's books. I am in the process of reading Emily Giffin's books. They are all great authors!
For I teen I recommend Meg Cabot's young adult books. She is the best author. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her. |
