I'm thinking of buying this phone. I have looked at it in a Verizon store and I am in love with the inside of it. However, the outside of the phone...I'm not sure if I like it.
Is the outside something you get used to? Do you regret buying it? Does it fit comfortably in your pocket? Also, how is mobile web 2.0, if you have it? I have never used it but I am wondering if it is worth the $5/month deal. Do sites such as youtube, myspace, facebook, and hotmail work well? |

omg............ I love my enV2 I have the Orange one. I love how the phone opens up like a book and I love how the screen on the phone is bigger than normal cell phone screens. The phone is not hard to figure out either. Although I dont know a whole lot about the 2.0 mobile web sorry about that.

I have the enV, and my mom just got the enV2. IT IS AMAZING!!!! Texting on the outside is very easy, and if you really consider it you probably won't be using the outside screen a lot except to call people. The phone is very slim and easy to slip into a pocket. I like it a lot and would highly recommend it.

I love the enV2. I have the black one.
I don't really use the outside for texting that much. But it's fine to use. I have no regrets what so ever buying the phone. It fits nicely in my pocket. Mobile web 2.0 is very good, especially on the EV-DO network. I haven't gone on those sites yet because I just started using it, but it's pretty good. 5$ is very good. BUY IT!!! Or if you don't like that, get the Voyager :-) |

I just got it today. I liked the look of the front from the moment i saw it, so i don't know if you'll get used to it. But i can tell you the little screen isn't that big of a deal. You can text with it and if you get frustrated or make a mistake you just flip the phone open and continue right where you left off with the keyboard.
I owned the original env before this and the big seller for me was how much smaller it is. I like the shape of it more and i like how it looks. But it does have some nice extra features. As far as mobile web 2.0 goes, i used to pay for it with the $5/a month plan. It was pretty good. Not a full fledged web browser but i could type in URLs and stuff. It used up my minutes. I was talking to the guy at the verizon store today and he said they got rid of the 5 dollar a month plan and now they just charge you based on megabyte usage. This means they charge you for how technically intense the site you go on is. The alternative to this is buying the Vcast package for $15 a month and getting unlimited mobile web surfing that doesn't affect your minutes or extra price. (You also get access to VCast video and other verizon services). I got a month free of the Vcast package so I'm gonna test it out and see if i like it enough to pay. Overall i highly recommend this phone. The keyboard is great for texting and the outside of the phone is certainly functional for basic features. It fits much more comfortably in my pocket than the env, and i do not regret buying it. Youtube doesn't work, but myspace and facebook do. Any web based email client should work, i use gmail. Good luck, the phone is great! |
